Dear Welcome to Melbourne,
As recent migrants to Australia who made use of your services, we would like to convey our gratitude. Immigration is always a stressful time in one’s life and a major concern is the first few days / weeks after arrival in a new country. Most immigration agents’ processes do not include an “after sales” service; their process stops once they have obtained a visa for their client. Your services which include the “settling in” bit is therefore sorely needed, especially for individuals such as ourselves who did not make use of the services of a migration agent.
Your service was a great help in removing some of the major stressful factors starting with the meet-and-greet at the airport. Few things are quite as nerve-racking for a parent as arriving at a strange destination and having no idea as to where one is going to sleep, never mind how to get there. The fact that we could arrange for a place to stay from South Africa was especially comforting. Meeting Ross at the airport was such a relief for the family as we were terribly jet lagged and really not up to making transport and accommodation decisions.
The additional help with banking, Medicare and tax numbers was also hugely appreciated. Just the fact that one has a knowledgeable person that is prepared to meet you and accompany you to these institutions was an unbelievable help as one gets lost in an unfamiliar city very easily.
We will never hesitate to advise any person to make use of your services.
